Aims & Scope
Trends in Energy Materials is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research across the broad field of energy-related materials. The journal aims to provide a platform for original contributions in experimental, theoretical, and computational studies that advance the understanding, development, and application of materials in energy systems.
Scope of the Journal
The journal welcomes, but is not limited to, research on materials and technologies relevant to:
- Energy storage (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors, hydrogen storage)
- Energy conversion (e.g., fuel cells, thermoelectrics, photovoltaics)
- Catalysis for energy processes (e.g., water splitting, CO₂ reduction, biomass conversion)
- Carbon-based materials (e.g., graphene, carbon nanotubes, porous carbon)
- Emerging and advanced materials (e.g., perovskites, 2D materials, metal-organic frameworks)
- Sustainability, circular materials, and lifecycle assessment of energy materials
Trends in Energy Materials supports the dissemination of impactful research that addresses the challenges of global energy demand, environmental sustainability, and technological innovation. We encourage submissions of full-length research articles and reviews that reflect the latest developments and future directions in the field.
